Who We Help (continued)

Casa Corazón de la Misericordia (Honduras) is a home for children with HIV/AIDS who have been orphaned or abandoned or whose parents can no longer care for them for economic or health reasons. The Casa provides more than forty children with the healthcare, social, and education support that will help them to lead dignified lives. The work is a mission of the Sisters of Mercy.

The Community of the Yaguarete Forest (Paraguay): POCF provided funding to help CEPAG, a Paraguayan NGO, to construct and equip a schoolhouse that serves more than 100 children in a remote, indigenous community in Paraguay’s Santa Rosa district.

Life Project for Africa (Tanzania): POCF funded a patient examination room at the Njia Health Center, which serves a poor, rural community in Tanzania.
